In cooperation with the companies and cities, we are building a new kind of society in which a smart environment serves the needs of different groups and supports our daily life and mobility. We solve the social challenges of emerging urban environments, such as exclusion and inequality. We also provide support on the road toward carbon neutrality and a sustainable energy economy.

We create better everyday life for city dwellers by designing the city bike and rail transport projects, metro trains and trams, among other things. Through digital interfaces, we make information more accessible and manageable, whether it is about a 5G pole or signage at an important public transport junction point.

We offer technological solutions in which we create an environment that genuinely benefits and serves its users – whether it be infrastructure, transport planning and digitalisation of services, learning or carbon-neutral operations.

The benefits of public investments to improve the accessibility and functionality of services can be measured. The investment of cities and municipalities in services can generate significant savings, for example. At the same time, the digitalisation of services frees up time for personal service for those who need it the most.

We help cities to change and to bring its activities closer to people than before, for example by inviting residents and organisations to join in the development work. Among other things, we have created qualitative indicators in care homes, developed a model of support for integration for small learners and their families, and improved the accessibility of health and social services.
