As a part of its strategy renewal, Posti was expanding its network of service points to unoccupied stores. In addition to the already established parcel machines, an interactive OmaPosti self-service terminal was needed, which enables the receipt and sending of letter and parcel mail. A real-time video connection can be used to advise consumers remotely.
LINK’s designers were responsible for the product concept, industrial design and mechanical engineering of the OmaPosti terminal in accordance with Design for All principles. Depending on the location, there may be just one or five self- service terminals in parallel – the mechanics of the terminal were designed to be modular and flexible to a wide range of configurations.
LINK also designed the product graphics of the OmaPosti self-service terminal and defined product color specifications in accordance with Posti’s new brand guidelines.
Posti opened the first OmaPosti service point in Askola in the spring of 2019. The Posti Box-Flagship store was opened on Helsinki’s Keskuskatu in the autumn of 2019.
