Katko is a Finnish manufacturer of enclosed isolators, load break switches and switch fuses. Katko Oy detected a market need for a handle-integrated switch that would prevent the lids from being opened while power is on.
LINK Design carried out the ideation, conceptualisation and industrial design processes for the product. Usability and functionality were key starting points for the design. The distinctive, high-quality design idea differentiated the product from the competitors. The handle is IP69K-classified, meaning that it has been designed to be used under challenging conditions. The handle is a natural addition to Katko’s other product families.
